LifeLight had held a multi-day festival of worship and music Labor Day weekend for the past 19 years.
Year twenty, they are moving to Sioux Falls.
Entertainers at CityFest will include Newsboys and Jeremy Camp. In addition, Life 96.5 will have a booth there too.
The event marks a significant change from LifeLight’s annual multi-day free music fest held at a Worthing farm. LifeLight announced in February it was canceling that event. Instead, out of the gate CityFest was to serve largely as a thank-you event capping two months of volunteer service projects called Serve Sioux Falls.
60 Days to Unite a City began July fourth and concludes September fourth.
The first two projects in Serve Sioux Falls took place July seventh as volunteers helped paint the Center of Hope Bike Shop Wall while other volunteers helped serve lunch at the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House.
LifeLight is partnering with Volunteers of America-Dakotas, the Helpline Center, Empower Sioux Falls and other organizations to set up summer volunteer opportunities, listed here.
The stadium, which is the long-time home to the Sioux Falls Canaries Baseball Club, will hold 18,000 for CityFest and TICKETS are now available online!!
LifeLight had an army of volunteers that made the festivals run in the past and they are in need of help. See the application for different areas and shifts.
