A special group of kids are making stops in Sioux Falls, Dell Rapids, Brookings and Yankton this month to share their talents and stories.

The African Children’s Choir is a group that generates hope, healing and justice for the innocent and vulnerable children of Africa.

The group touches audiences with their smiles, beautiful voices and lively songs and dances. The program features well-known children’s songs, traditional Spiritual and Gospel numbers.

The children tour the United States to raise money to help fund their education through the university level, as well as help thousands of other African children.

“The tour also is about spreading the mission of choir and to allow people to see the dignity, the hope and the joy that these children have, even though that they come from suffering and sad circumstances,” says Keira Carnie, tour leader.

I had a chance to talk to Carnie on “Life Connection” and you can hear the interview and examples of the choir here.
