This summer, Life 96.5, in partnership with Samaritan’s Feet, presented you with a unique opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus by volunteering at an event on Saturday, August 19. The event, taking place at 3 different locations, invited families to bring their children in to have their feet lovingly washed by a volunteer before fitting them with brand new socks and shoes. With the help of a very diverse group of just shy of 300 volunteers, including 49 individuals from the Life 96.5 listening family, 1,200 kids were served!

Our thanks to you for praying for the families and volunteers involved in this unique event. If YOU served, thank you for your special gift of time and love at Hayward Elementary, First United Methodist Church, or Wesley United Methodist Church! Soles for School could not have happened without the many pairs of shoes donated and the kindness of volunteers.

Special thanks to Oh My Cupcakes and American Bank and Trust for serving as donation drop-off locations. To date, 338 pairs of shoes have been donated!
