SD Right to Life Convention

The Hartford-Humboldt Right to Life will host the 2018 South Dakota Right to Life Convention Saturday, September 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the St. George Parish Center in Hartford.  Vendors, silent basket auction, continental breakfast, and registration begins at 8:00 a.m.  A Youth break-out session (7th-12th grades) will be from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.    Speakers include Dr. Pat Castle, founder of LIFE Runners Intl., Leslee Unruh, founder of the Alpha Center, Sioux Falls, and Sue Thayer, former Planned Parenthood manager and founder of Cornerstone for Life, Storm Lake, IA. Strengthening Families Program 10-14

Carroll Institute Prevention Counselors are partnering with First United Methodist Church in Sioux Falls to hold its fall session of "Strengthening Families Program 10-14".  The event runs 7 weeks starting beginning September 6. A free meal is provided from 5:30-6:00 p.m. with parent and youth sessions from 6:00-8:00 each evening.  Learn how to show love while setting limits, youth learn peer resistance skills, and families gain communication skills at the same time they are having fun! Mission Cafe and Bakery at Southern Hills United Methodist Church

Mission Cafe and Bakery will be held on Saturday, September 29 from 10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Southern Hills United Methodist Church, 3400 E. 49th Street in Sioux Falls.  A free-will offering will be collected to fight local, national and global hunger through UMCOR missions and others.  There will be several food stations, a bake sale and activities for the kids.
