During August, we invited you to give your time at a volunteer night for the Sioux Falls Food Pantry. Thanks for filling up all 35 volunteer spots and blessing yet another vital organization in our community with your support and effort. Read on. . .

“We at Feeding South Dakota want to thank Life 96.5 radio for organizing such a successful evening. On August 26th, the group arrived with enthusiasm and ready to make a difference! The group set record poundage sorting in such a short period of time which was in all about an hour and half!

The amount of food sorted was 5200 pounds!! To break that into laymen’s terms every 1.2 Lbs of food equals one meal. That averages about 4,333 meals that this one group provided for all the people that we serve! What an outstanding result and we can’t express our gratitude enough!

Another key observation is that with this volunteer group also comes individuals that want to return with their time and donate even more! I find it to be a wonderful ripple effect!”

Sincerely,

Megan deWit, Sioux Falls Food Pantry Manager, Feeding South Dakota

Thank you again, Life 96.5 family, for being the hands and feet of Jesus!
