During January, YOU were invited to show Christ’s love to young women in an unplanned pregnancy by donating brand new baby items for the Sioux Empire’s Largest Baby Shower. Thank you for your overwhelming response!
Once again, the Alpha Center Baby Closet will be filled to overflowing thanks to your kindness!
Throughout the month hundreds of items were donated at Sioux Falls Lewis stores, churches, and directly to the Alpha Center, including 3 high chairs, 3 strollers, 3 play yards, and 2 car seat/stroller combos! In addition to those larger items, 166 packages of diapers, 192 packages of wipes, 273 baby clothing items and 146 blankets were brought in. On top of that, dozens of bibs, socks, toiletries, pacifiers, and packages of formula were given. WOW!
“This year’s baby shower was bigger and better than ever before. Thank you for the 1,311 items brought in to help young parents get started! This is what “pro life” looks like! By giving from your heart you are showing the love of Jesus and bringing hope to the hopeless through Alpha Center, including everything from the initial pregnancy test to the life skills obtained from the earn-while-you-learn classes. Bless you!”

My question..I have some sweater sets that my mom knitted for my son who is now 38. They are in perfect condition. .m y mom is 90 years old now and no longer can knit. I cant bring myself to put these on a rummage sale or Facebook sale after all the love that went Into making them. I do not live in s.f. so I can not get them there in january. May I still bring them in to the alpha center or life 9y.5?
Hi Diane!
I think Alpha Center would be blessed to receive any items you wish to share. You can drop them off at Alpha Center’s location at 41st and Kiwanis in Sioux Falls whenever it is convenient for you.
