During January you showed Christ’s love by “Walking Together/Caminando Juntos” with Hispanic immigrants new to Sioux Falls! Thank you for generously donating brand new mittens, hats, scarves, earmuffs, and even socks to bless Latino residents who are making a home among us. You are helping Warm A Neighbor this winter by providing over 350 new items, including:
93 pairs of mittens and gloves
146 hats
44 scarves
10 earmuffs
10 hand warmers
and
40 pairs of socks!
When you wonder who is benefiting from the donated items, think of an elderly woman who came in and saw the hats. She had a blue coat, and was thrilled that there was a blue hat that matched her coat. And a little boy, three or four years old, who saw a scarf made of flannel material with a Minions design whose eyes lit up. He was so excited to go home with that scarf. And another woman, who was so pleased to take a pair of men’s gloves. They were for her son who works outside and needed warm gloves.
Bless you, Jen (and Brooke) for this most wonderful ministry!
~The Presentation Sisters thank you for your kindness and for providing little gifts of HOPE to help warm the hearts and bodies of our Hispanic neighbors!
