I always chuckle at how little snippets of life can give an illusion that is completely opposite of reality. We see pictures on Facebook and Instagram and assume what we are seeing is the complete story, but often forgetting how people put on masks to hide their inner struggles. This cute video reminded me of all that, because if you’ve ever seen the Westminster Dog Show, you only see a short clip of a perfect specimen, beautifully groomed and well trained…what we fail to see is the rest of the time where you have the real story, which involves victories, defeats, happiness and sadness.

So, the next time you ask someone how they are doing, and they respond “Good”, remember that like this dog, people get hungry, people get sad, people need love…Look beyond the illusion and ask them how they are really doing.
