Too many children in the Sioux Empire go without a bed—or even a pillow—to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, or even floors. As you might imagine, this can affect their happiness and health.
During September and October, Life 96.5 is teaming up with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to help provide new twin-size sheet sets for the beds the organization is currently building for kids in our community!
SHP says 6000 children in the Sioux Empire need a bed, and by donating sheet sets, we can work together and make a difference.
Each time a child receives a bed from SHP, it is set up with a mattress, sheets, a pillow, blankets, and bed cover. By helping provide a set of NEW twin sheets, we can be a part of the process of helping with each bed that is built this fall.
Would you like to help? You can donate a new sheet set (twin size only) including a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and pillowcase.
The Sioux Falls chapter of SHP is meeting needs locally, and would like to invite you to get involved. They say if a child needs a bed, let’s make sure they get one. No kid sleeps on the floor in our town.
To help, you can:
- volunteer and participate in the next Build Day
- contribute resources to help provide a bed, mattress and accessories for a local child in need
- sponsor a build day with your company, organization, or family (email link below)
- DONATE A NEW TWIN SHEET SET FOR A CHILD AGED 3 TO 17.
Bring your donation to the Life 96.5 Studios in Sioux Falls during regular business hours. Our address is 4721 W 71st Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57108. Please call when you arrive as our doors remain locked. (605) 339-1965.
