All around us are people God loves very deeply. But many are struggling and dealing with emotional pain, anxiety, fear, discouragement, and depression. For those who are receiving help through Avera Behavioral Health, YOU can bring a smile and a dose of hope this Christmas season.
While the Avera staff does everything they can to help make Christmas brighter for their patients, providing a stocking filled with kind gifts plus lots of love and prayers will help them reach into hearts and bring a smile to those who need a lift.
Would you consider filling a stocking for a male or female senior adult, adult, adolescent or child who will spend Christmas in the hospital?
Start with a Christmas stocking, and add a soft blanket, warm or fuzzy socks, pillowcase, card games, books, puzzles, hand lotion, lip balm, hats and gloves. You can choose the kind of gifts based on the general age of the patient you would like to receive your stocking gift. Please do not include anything made of glass, string/rope, or sharp pieces.
DO include only NEW items and a note of encouragement and/or some appropriate scripture for the recipient. Please stuff your stocking by Wednesday, December 18.
→When you have your stocking stuffed, you may bring it to:
- Juice Stop locations in Sioux Falls (33rd & Minnesota Ave., 26th & Marion Rd., 10th & Sycamore Ave., 1200 E. 57th St. and 5115 S. Louise Ave.)
- Life 96.5 Studio Building, 4721 W. 71st Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57108
- Rend Collective Concert event at Central Church, Sioux Falls, on Friday, December 6
Avera Behavioral Health asks that stockings NOT be dropped off at their location. Thank you for helping to bring the love of Jesus to a hospital patient this Christmas season.
Thanks to Avera Behavioral Health!
