Dad Tired: Stop Behaving Conference

8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

The "Dad Tired:  Stop Behaving Conference" men's conference with Jerrad Lopes, pastor, author, dad, husband, podcast host and founder of the Dad Tired ministry, will be held Saturday, February 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Maurice Reformed Church in Maurice, Iowa.  Dad Tired is a ministry that focuses on how men are leading lives that leave them tired and unable to live out the gospel to their kids and in their marriages.  The podcast itself has had some great speakers such as Matt Chandler, Paul David Tripp, Bob Goff, Dr. Gary Chapman, Jon Acuff, Matt Hammitt from Sanctus Real, Jon Foreman from Switchfoot, Tony Dungy, and Alfred Morris to name a few. The podcast has been downloaded over 1.3 million times in 156 different countries and hundreds of thousands of people listen to the podcast weekly. The Stop Behaving Conference is a day centered around the idea that families don't need a man who behaves well all the time. They need a man whose heart has been radically changed by Jesus. The conference will be held February 29 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Maurice Reformed Church and will include teaching times from Jerrad and round table discussions and activities with men from across the area.  Jerrad's book Stop Behaving will be used as a guide for the day. The breakfast, lunch, snacks, and a copy of Stop Behaving are included with the registration fee.

Financial Peace University Class: Spring 2020 at Good News Church

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The 10-week Financial Peace University Spring 2020 Class taught by Alexis Kuiken will be offered at Good News Church Saturday mornings at 10:00 February 1 through April 4.  This step-by- step course will teach how to spend, how to pay off debt, how to save, how to be ready for emergencies, what to look for in insurance, how to build wealth, and so much more! Here are some statistics: 8 out of 10 Americans live paycheck to paycheck; that means 8 out of 10 houses have too much month at the end of the money. Most people can’t cover an unexpected $1,000 emergency. 72% of Americans have debt. That’s not okay! The proven plan has been taught to over 6 million people over 25 years. The average person on the plan pays off $5,300 in the first 90 days. Through videos, discussion, case studies, and homework, you will learn everything you can think of and more about money. This step by step course will teach you how to budget, spend, pay off debt, save, be ready for emergencies, what to look for in insurance, how to build wealth, and so much more! At the end of your journey, you will have a fully-funded emergency fund, no debt, money for retirement, kids' college, and giving. No, it's never too late to start and yes, the sooner you start, the wealthier you will be. Let's keep our money from The Evil One and live and give like no one else for God's glory! P.S. You're never obligated to share your financial figures. Further information and cost is available online at https://www.hisgoodnews.com/fpu
